My Story
What exactly are my qualifications for writing this blog?
My answer is that I have no formal qualifications at all. I am not a doctor, have no medical training what so ever, and am not an expert or any kind of coach. I am not the fittest guy in the world (or even in my gym) and much as I would like to say that I love spinach, the fact is that I secretly love Mousse au Chocolat.
What I do have is, several years of experience researching alternative therapies, and weeding out the junk from real stuff. With all the research and experiments I tried on myself, I healed myself from Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease and got off of all drugs. During my years of research and experimenting, hanging out on various health forums, I ran into a lot of people who had similarly healed themselves from other diseases such as Arthritis, IBS, Diabetes Type 2 and many more.
How I Healed Myself and How This Blog Started
When I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and later on with Crohn’s disease, I underwent the torture of a couple of years of my doctors treating me with stuff that not only didn’t improve me, but also had side effects such as:
1. suppressing immune system
2. insomnia
3. puffy skin, weight gain
4. … and many more.
My ”Enough was enough” moment came when my doctors wanted me to take a drug which has been released just a few years ago (so no long term side effects are known), and is derived from mouse proteins. While this drug definitely has helped some people… I also knew of cases where people taking this drug had died of related complications, several more where people had adverse reactions to it, and some where there was no improvement at all.
At this point I actively started looking for alternative treatments. Over the next 2 years, I not only managed to completely get off of all pharmaceutical drugs, I also managed to get back to my prior healthy weight, and have never been fitter in my life. All this by making simple dietary and life style changes.
And this is when this blog idea was born. A desire to share the “secret” of getting our lives back from the pharmaceutical hell-hole and feeling healthy again.
I am not a Modern Medicine hater by any means.
Modern medicine has its place in saving countless lives and making them better.
A few years ago, I was stupid enough to pilot a small airplane over Rockies mountains in night in snowing conditions, which left my wings covered with ice. I crashed. When I was helicoptered out of the plane’s wreck, I discovered that I had broken my lower spine, a bone behind my neck and another one in my ankle.
If it wasn’t for the technology of modern medicine and the superb skill of my surgeon trained at modern schools, I wouldn’t have the life I have today. Thanks to my surgeon, I live a totally normal life today, as if nothing happened.
On the other hand, modern medicine self-admittedly has no cure for several chronic diseases, but still insists on putting patients on a lifetime misery of drugs. And it does so without really addressing root causes, and at the same time worsening the quality of life due to dangerous side-effects.
Some of these diseases can be, and are dramatically better addressed by natural alternatives.
I and all contributing authors on this blog are real people who had real diseases just like you, and at one time really believed that there was no hope of escaping the endless cycle of pills and injections.
It’s their experiences and mine that I share on this blog. And I fervently hope that some of these will help you get off the vicious cycle of pharmaceutical drugs and get your own life back.
